Meeting Captain Blackheart really did change my life. He gave me the nudge to really give the vehicle dwelling life a proper go. By being in his crew we were welcome in a whole load of places. We didnt get asked to be in his crew, that’s not how pirates work.
It felt really right to make a version of this song in “Dub” style. It is written for the Dub Cafe to play proper loud at Late O’clock at Equinox Festival. If someone could make that happen that would be lovely. Thank you.

When I met Captain Blackheart he lived in plain site in the corner of an acre of land that no one even knew was there. People travelled too fast to notice the hidden world behind that fence.
We often talked about the cost of living and the cost of being a touring artist. For me living in a vehicle made a lot of sense. Everywhere we went, we had everything we needed. We would always have a bed, and somewhere of our own to be away from the world.
